ギャラリーヒルゲート

日本で生まれ育ち、それぞれ単身で渡米した6人の作家は、多様な文化や価値観が共存するニューヨークでアートを通して出会った。世代も出身も経歴も全く違う作家たちが、それぞれの表現方法で制作した絵画、 版画、彫刻など30点余りを展示。

 “様々な感情や情報が混じり合う激動の時代にあっても、無心になって制作をしていると、時間も空間も超えて私たちは存在しているように思えます。そうして各々が世界と自分と向き合って制作した作品群が、訪れた人々の心に触れたり、インスピレーションになる事を願っています。"

The six Japanese artists met through art in New York City where diverse cultures and values coexist. The artists are from entirely different generations, backgrounds, and native places, exhibiting around 30 original works of painting, printmaking, and sculpture. “Despite times of turbulence overfilled with information and emotions, we transcend space and time, feeling grounded to exist when we solely focus on work. We hope to bring inspiration to the visitors through the works that we have created facing the world and ourselves."
